We offer Kits and Services for biological age prediction

    Biological samples/traces collected at the scene of crime have potential to be used for the age prediction of an individual from whom the samples originated. In no-suspect cases and cases where there is no DNA profile match against a database, such information could be critical for providing additional intelligence for criminal investigations.

    We offer AgePlex kit, service and training about the age prediction based on the methylation markers from blood samples. The standard error of the age estimation is 4.5 years. Mean absolute deviation for this testing set was 3.9 years. 86.7% accurate predictions with a ±5 years accuracy was shown for the age category 2-19 and this percentage gradually decreased to 50% in the age category 60-75.
